Muninn (Munr in Norse) is one of Odin's 2 Raven's: Hugin represents Thoughts, while Muninn is harder to translate and is summed up as "Memory". Muninn is encompassing of emotions, desires, wonder and curiosity. Odin's Ravens went out into the world and gathered information and came back to rest on Odin's shoulders to tell him of all they'd learned. The ravens were a part of Odin and from a poem it is said that he said "Hugin and Munin fly each day over the spacious earth. I fear for Hugin, that he come not back, yet more anxious am I for Munin."

As Muninn embodies wonder and curiosity, it's no surprise he worried that Muninn would follow his desires, to continue exploring the world's mysteries. It's a piece that invites contemplation and connection, resonating with those who appreciate the depth of mythology

Muninn is 16 x 20 x 1 comprised of grays, blues, gold, bronze, tightly controlled to capture him at the perfect moment. It's a regal piece, and it commands attention. You'll be able to share the inspiration behind the painting and hopefully find much inspiration too.
